High quality architectural speaker cable made for home and office sound systems. UL approved CMR or CL3R rating makes it acceptable for most building and electrical codes. Gray PVC jacket with color coded S-R PVC (red, black) stranded wires. 14 gauge wire consists of 19 x .0147 gauge strands of ASTM B-3, B-8, and B-286 copper. Maximum voltage rated 300V. Sequential footage markers to facilitate installation. Suitable for use from -20 deg C to +75 deg C. Meets NEC article 725 and 800 rating as well as California state fire marshall approval. It's the best price I could find on 14 AWG CL3R, and it's just as advertised. I needed some of this to run through my walls, and it works just fine. No problems, no complaints.
it is top quality. Much cheaper than the M* cable and just as good. I have used Carol speaker cable throughout my house. I would not put cheap wire through my walls.
In the future if i find something i need, i will buy through part express. and each strand of the wire itself was pretty thick. The outer jacket is made of thin cheap plastic, and the insulation covering the wire itself was just as thin. Parts express had excellent customer service and refunded my money right away. I bought this speaker wire thinking that it wouldn't be that bad. But the cable is very cheaply made. Overall avoid buying this item.
